Windows Online was an online service where players could play Windows games such as Minesweeper and Hearts online. The website was officially launched on 1st March, 2002.

On 16th November, 2012, it was announced that all Windows Online servers would cease in Summer 2013 so Microsoft could focus on other products. After two delays, and despite Twitter campaigns to save the service, the website and all of its servers were closed on 29th December, 2013 at 11:00p.m. (GMT). The Windows Online website now redirects to the Microsoft website.
In 2017, a website called Zero Games was launched, with notable similarities to Windows Online.
