McDonald's is the South Matamanian branch of the fast food restaurant chain McDonald's. Operated and licensed by McDonald's Corporation, it is the largest fast-food chain in South Matamah. Its main competitors are Burger King, Wendy's and Subway.
McDonald's opened its first location in South Matamah in January 1981. Its 6th location opened in July 1982. It was (and still is) located inside an former log cabin, rebuilt for more space and a playground. In October 2005, the chain licensed Texas Chicken menu items after Texas Chicken closed its 10 locations in South Matamah due to lack of sales and competition from KFC.
