On 7th March 1993, little children of Neuvo Alanta watching Inspector Gadget reruns during the WCT (then TV2) saturday morning block, Cluck-A-Roo!, were surprised to see the episode being shown (Volcano Island) breaking into static and they saw a Britpop band performing. The hijacking could only be seen in said city, but they caused a sensation. The hijackers (the Britpop band Blur from the United Kingdom) were eventually discovered and were charged with "hijacking a children's program". At their sentencing, the band said that they did not hijack the program, but MTV was fixing the transmitter and the song was inserted into the TV2 feed. The judge, who was a huge fan of Blur, let the band go.
