CITV was launched in Tyono on 11th April, 1994, twelve days after the launch of ITV.
The channel originally aired each day from 3:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., timesharing with ITV, which aired during its downtime hours. This changed in September 2000, where it began timesharing with ITV BoX, losing an hour in the process, airing from just 4:00a.m. This ended in July 2008, where the channel began airing for 24 hours.
A timeshift service, titled CITV +1 was launched in July 2008, replacing ITV BoX.
1994-1998[]
The first CITV logo in Tyono was the same one as the UK version adapted in 1991.
